Palgrave area resident Tiny Viola is giving it another try.
Viola has announced his plans to seek election to the Regional seat for Wards 3 and 4 on Caledon council in next month’s municipal elections.
Viola, who owns and operates Allegro Fine Dine in Bolton has run for council several times.
“I don’t really keep count,” he said. “I keep trying.”
There are a number of matters Viola wishes to see addressed in the campaign.
“We need to rectify what we’ve had,” he remarked, adding council needs to defer to voters. “We can’t do stuff on our own.”
He also said there are changes needed at the council table. Viola said there are people who have been there for years, saying they’re not finished what they started out to do. He wondered how long it takes.
“You don’t need to have a politician who plays this position,” he maintained, adding what’s needed are business people who can run the Town like a business.
He was also speaking confidently about his chances for election.
“I love my chances,” he said. “I think the people of Caledon are finally realizing what they need. I just need to get out and do the job that needs to be done.”
