Theft investigation results in arrest

The investigation into a series of thefts from unlocked vehicles and break-ins through unlocked garage doors in the last month in the southwest area of Caledon has resulted in charges against a 40-year-old man from Georgetown.
Caledon OPP reports the incidents took place between Jan. 4 and Feb. 5.
The Street Crime Unite arrested the man Feb. 5. He was charged with 16 counts of theft under $5,000, 12 counts of break and enter and six counts of trespass by night, as well as numerous counts of Breach of Probation.
