Relevance of church to be explored at Lifetree Café

October 31, 2013   ·   0 Comments

The relevance and viability of church will be discussed at Lifetree Café this coming Wednesday (Nov. 6).
The program, entitled Is Church Obsolete: Has God Left the Building?, will explore emerging trends that point to the church losing membership and eroding in influence.
“The fastest growing religious group is the group of people who don’t associate with any specific religious tradition,” commented Lifetree representative Craig Cable. “We’ll consider what might be behind that trend, and whether the trend represents a problem or an opportunity.”
The program will run from 7 to 8 p.m., and admission is free. Snacks and beverages will be available. It will be at St. James’ Anglican Church, 6025 Old Church Rd. in Caledon East.
Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual coffeehouse-type setting. Questions about Lifetree may be directed to Mark Tiller at 905-584-8506 or jmarktiller@gmail.com
