Peaceful ‘Oasis’ at Palgrave Church

Looking for a moment of quiet or a space to breathe, despite the busy nature of this season?
Palgrave United Church will offer An Oasis in this Frenzied Season Sunday evenings in December.
Beginning this week (Nov. 30) and until Dec. 21, the church will be open from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Soft light, candles and quiet music will provide a warm time for each person to use as they wish. Drop in or stay a while for personal meditation, prayer, just resting in silence, etc.
The images of the Christmas story — the star, the hillside, the stable — are peaceful, but December is not. Holiday music blares everywhere. We are busy with parties and seasonal events. We complain, but do we build some empty time into our lives?
Palgrave Church will offer this opportunity for stillness in the hectic December schedule. There will be no imposed reflections, just an opportunity for each person to rest in this sacred space in whatever way fits best.
