OPP looking for assistance in Freeland death investigation

April 24, 2013   ·   0 Comments

Kera Freeland’s body was discovered in a ditch on
Heart Lake Road, in the Town of Caledon on Thursday
March 17, 2011. Her death was treated as suspicious
at the time and had since been determined
to be a homicide.
On January 30th, 2013 Freeland’s
ex-roommate from her Toronto address,
35 year old Christopher Andronakos, was
arrested without incident and has been
charged with Second Degree Murder in
the death of Kera Freeland.
Investigators with the Ontario Provincial
Police are continuing their investigation
and are seeking assistance from the
public. Investigators have information
that on a night in January 2011 a vehicle
went into a ditch in an area in Caledon.
The vehicle had to be removed from the
ditch by a tow truck. There is further information
that the male driver waited for
the tow at a home near where his vehicle
entered the ditch. Police would like to
identify the tow company/driver and the
resident who assisted this person that
night in January 2011.
Anyone with information about this
incident is asked to contact the Caledon
OPP Major Crime Unit at (519) 927-3041 or Calgary
Police non-emergency number at 403 266-1234 or
Crime Stoppers in Ontario at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
