On Golden Pond coming to Tipling

Rehearsals began Sunday for Tipling Stage Company’s production of On Golden Pond.
Bev Nicholas will be directing Jo Hubbard and Peter King, who are playing Norman and Ethel Thayer, the elderly couple who spend the summer at Golden Pond for their 48th year together. Celebrating his 80th birthday, Norman is faced with a visit from his estranged daughter Chelsea, played by Melina Prentice, and the request that he and Ethel have her boyfriend’s 13-year-old son stay for the summer. It is a summer like no other.
On Golden Pond will be presented at Grace Tipling Hall, Shelburne Jan. 27 and 28 at 8 p.m., Jan 29 at 2 pm and Feb. 3 and 4 at 8 p.m.
