There is lots of work that still needs to be done in Caledon’s Wards 3 and 4, and Nick deBoer wants to be part of it.
He has declared that he will be seeking another term as area representative for Caledon East and old Albion Township on Town council in this fall’s municipal elections.
“There are a number of jobs that still need to be completed,” deBoer said, including the provision of youth and recreation programs. He also said a lot of work was started in the last term by himself and his late wife Donna to establish girls and women’s hockey in the community and he thinks the area council seat is a good place to complete that work from.
“I think I enjoy representing the community,” he commented, adding he’s been impressed with the amount of support he’s received over the last couple of years.
If successful, this will be deBoer’s fourth term on council.
“An election is an election,” he commented, reflecting on his chances. “The people have the opportunity to decide if you’ve done a good job. We’ll find out. I’m more than willing to wait until what ever happens.”
