Man arrested for home break-in

Caledon OPP reports a 24-year-old man from Brampton was charged July 19 after a home on Olde Base Line Road was broken into.
Police said a resident of the house contacted them shortly before 3 p;m. to report the break-in was in progress. the suspect was apparently not aware that anyone was at home, and took off as soon as he realized someone was there.
An investigation into the break and enter by members of the Street Crime Unit uncovered the suspect’s identity. He was arrested and charged with breaking and entering into a dwelling with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He will be making his first court appearance in Orangeville Sept. 12.
