Julzz Hair Salon is celebrating one year of bringing clean beauty to Caledon East, and they celebrated with the community on June 13.
Owned and operated by local Caledon resident Giulia Tomasone, she founded her salon in hopes of creating a space that combined beauty and wellness, and she celebrates a full year of doing just that.
“It feels incredibly rewarding and humbling,” says Tomasone, reflecting on the past year. “Opening Julzz Hair Salon was a dream, and I’m so grateful for the support of my clients, family, and community over the past year.”
When she first opened her business, she knew she only wanted to carry local, organic, and all-natural products.
When Tomasone’s mother was pregnant, she became sensitive to certain products, leading her to leave the industry. Now in her own business, Tomasone wanted to ensure she created a space for all.
She shares that all-natural products can benefit everyone, including people with sensitivities or allergies, scalp concerns, hormonal imbalances, and those simply trying to reduce toxin exposure.
“My favourite part has been building meaningful relationships with my clients and creating a welcoming space where they can relax, feel confident, and leave feeling their best,” says Tomasone.
When meeting with clients, she offers personal consultations to ensure she understands their history, preferences, and sensitivities.
Those meaningful relationships were felt in her salon this June, as family, friends, and residents gathered to celebrate the anniversary.
Councillor for the area, Doug Maskell, attended the event and presented a certificate on behalf of Mayor Annette Groves.
“Your passion, dedication, and contribution to the local business community have made a meaningful impact,” read Maskell. “May this milestone be the first of many, and may your business continue to thrive and enrich the community for years to come.”
In his role of Ward Councillor, he added how important small businesses are to small towns such as their own neighbourhood.
Celebrating with those around her, Tomasone says she’s looking forward to many years to come.
“I’m excited to continue growing the Julzz Hair Salon team, expanding our services, and helping even more people discover healthy, beautiful hair through clean and organic haircare,” she says.
