Home broken into near Caledon East

Several rooms in a house on Cranston Drive, near Caledon East, were ransacked April 15.
Caledon OPP reports they were called to the scene shortly after 12:15 p.m., responding to an alarm. Once they got there, the noticed damage had been done to the front door.
The investigation revealed that the suspect(s) got into the house through the front door. Once inside, they ransacked several rooms and stole a brown mahogany jewelry box with contents.
Witnesses in the area report seeing a dark-coloured BMW in the area at the time of the break-in.
Police are reminding residents to contact the OPP Communications Centre immediately at 1-888-310-1122 to report any suspicious activity or suspicious vehicles in the area. Information such as suspect physical descriptions, suspect vehicles and direction of travel are useful tools for investigators.
