Garbage collection will be one day later — Region will be operating on Holiday hours

Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for the holidays from Christmas Day until New Year’s Day.
Caledon residents are advised that garbage will be collected one day later than regular collection days.
For the period from Dec. 29 to Jan. 9, residents may place unlimited amounts of excess acceptable waste at the curb their scheduled collection day.
For one week beginning Jan. 12, residents may place Christmas trees, with all decorative items removed, at the curb their regularly scheduled collection day.
All Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) will be closed Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1.
Several Regional offices and services will be closed over the Holidays, reopening Jan. 2. They include Access Peel; Assessment: Ontario Works, Peel Access to Housing and Service Access-Early Learning Services; Children’s Services Operations; Dental Services at Peel Public Health Clinics; Employment Resource Centres; Human Services Reception; Ontario Works in Peel; Peel Living; Public Works Reception; and Rent Supplement.
Breastfeeding Clinics and Healthy Sexuality Clinics will be closed the rest of this week, and well as New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, reopening Jan. 2.
For emergencies related to food, shelter, medication and personal supports, call the Ontario Works after-hours line at 905-793-9200 or the Region’s main line at 905-791-7800.
Peel Public Health is not accepting water samples from Dec. 22 until Jan. 4. Regular collection service will resume Jan. 5. Residents can drop off samples directly to the Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion – Central Public Health Laboratory located at 81 Resources Rd., Etobicoke. Call 416-235-6556 or 1-877-604-4567 for hours.
The TransHelp office will be closed Dec. 25 – Jan. 1, and reopen Jan. 2. Holiday service hours are as follows:
The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) will be closed Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1. Visit pama.peelregion.ca for information on programming, exhibitions and PAMA’s holiday admission prices.
