CHARGES FOLLOWING DRUG TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION

Members of the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid numerous charges against seven individuals following a recent warrant execution.

“In summer 2025, the Caledon CSCU entered into a drug trafficking investigation,” say Police. “With the assistance of numerous CSCU’s across southern Ontario, as well as the Toronto Police Service and Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), search warrants were executed upon several residences and vehicles throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

“Officers seized approximately one kilogram of Methamphetamine, 800 grams of Heroin and a large sum of currency, as well as items consistent with the sale and trafficking of drugs, including cell phones, digital scales, packaging materials, and more. In addition, a prohibited knife, firearm ammunition, and body armour, as well as two stolen personal watercrafts and associated trailer were also seized as a result of the warrants.”

Following the investigation, seven individuals were arrested and charged.

Shivansh Sharma, 35, of Vaughan, was charged with:

Traffick in a Schedule I substance – two counts;

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – two counts;

Fail to comply with release order – three counts;

Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000;

Participate in a criminal organization.

The charges have not been proven.

Inderdip Sahota, 37, of Brampton, was charged with:

Fail to comply with release order;

Participate in a criminal organization;

Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000.

The charges have not been proven.

Brent Marko, 45, of Mississauga, was charged with:

Traffick in a Schedule I substance – two counts;

Participate in a criminal organization;

Drive while under suspension – six counts.

The charges have not been proven.

Tyrone Osei, 24, of Etobicoke, was charged with:

Traffick in a Schedule I substance – two counts;

Participate in a criminal organization;

Drive while under suspension – three counts.

The charges have not been proven.

Ellique Bowman, 20, of Toronto, was charged with:

Traffick in a Schedule I substance – two counts;

Participate in a criminal organization;

Drive while under suspension – two counts.

The charges have not been proven.

Nicholas Senior, 20, of North York, was charged with:

Traffick in a Schedule I substance – two counts;

Participate in a criminal organization.

The charges have not been proven.

Jaydem Maraboli, 24, of Etobicoke, was charged with:

Traffick in a Schedule I substance – two counts;

Participate in a criminal organization.

“The success of this drug trafficking investigation reflects our ongoing commitment to public safety and the disruption of criminal networks across the Town of Caledon and the Greater Toronto Area,” says Detective Sergeant Steven Linton, Caledon OPP Detachment. “These results demonstrate the effectiveness of coordinated investigative efforts and the dedication of our officers to keeping our communities safe and free from illegal activity.”

CHARGES FOLLOWING “FABRICATED”

CAR JACKING

Members from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges against two individuals following an investigation into a carjacking.

“On September 18, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers from the Caledon OPP received a report of a carjacking in the area of Old School Road and Mississauga Road, in the Town of Caledon,” say Police. “The complainant alleged that their vehicle was involved in a collision and was then approached by two suspects, one of which was armed with a handgun. The suspects were then said to have stolen the vehicle and fled the area.

“Detectives from the Caledon Major Crime Unit (MCU) assisted with the investigation which ultimately revealed the complainant fabricated the report of the carjacking in a complex fraud scheme.”

As a result of the investigation, Raji Sharma, 38, of Brampton, and Meeraj Tandon, 40, of Brampton, were charged with:

Public Mischief;

Fraud over $5000.

The accused parties are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date to answer to their charges.

The charges have not been proven.

IMPAIRED CHARGES

Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges following a collision investigation.

“On October 25, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles on Highway 10, at County Road 109, in the Town of Caledon,” say Police. “The vehicle occupants suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision. During the course of the investigation, officers formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.”

Following the investigation, Anthony Weidendorf, 28, of Toronto, was charged with:

Operation while impaired – alcohol;

Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The charges have not been proven.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on November 13, 2025, to answer to the charges. Additionally, the driver’s vehicle was impounded for a period of seven days, and their driver’s licence suspended for a period of 90 days.

“The OPP remains committed to keeping our communities safe through enforcement and public education. Drivers who are impaired by drugs or alcohol continue to pose a significant threat on Ontario roads. Whether a driver is impaired by alcohol or drugs, impaired is impaired, and impaired driving is dangerous regardless of the source of impairment.
