Residents are invited to come together for Earth Hour 2026 with an evening of activities focused on sustainability and family-friendly fun.

The Town of Caledon, in partnership with Caledon Public Library and ecoCaledon, will host this year’s celebration at the Caledon East Community Complex on Saturday, March 28, from 6 – 10 p.m.

Event highlights Include:

Eco Marketplace – Meet local sustainable vendors and explore products, services, and ideas that support greener living.

Pledge for the Planet – Take part in a community commitment by choosing one sustainable action to carry forward throughout the year.

Library-Led Activities – Visit the Caledon East branch between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. for earth hour activities, including a story time by flashlight. Stop by the Cory Trépanier Creativity Studio between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. for interactive experiences, live makerspace demonstrations,  and more!

Dimly Lit Yoga – Join us for a complimentary drop-in yoga session led by a fitness specialist under dimmed lights from 7 – 8 p.m. All participants will be required to check in at Customer Service to obtain a class ticket.

Giveaways and Prizes – Enjoy the chance to win eco-friendly prizes.

Snacks and Refreshments – Free treats and refreshments will be available throughout the evening.

All Caledon Public Library branches will also offer Earth Hour-themed activities on March 28, 2026 during regular business hours.

Earth Hour is a global movement encouraging people to take simple actions in support of the planet. Residents who can’t attend the event in person are still encouraged to participate by switching off all non-essential lights from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
