A Caledon OPP officer was able to catch a driver going almost 100 km-h over the posted speed limit Feb. 14.
Police report the officer was conducting radar enforcement on Highway 9, near Kennedy Road at about 7:20 p.m., when he saw a white 2008 Dodge travelling eastbound. The officer activated the radar unit and determined the speed of the vehicle to be 158 km-h in a posted 60 zone.
A 20-year-old man from Caledon was charged with racing a motor vehicle. His licence was suspended for seven days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
