Traffic stop leads to arrest

September 27, 2013   ·   0 Comments

Failing to stop when she was supposed to resulted in a Caledon woman being charged Sept. 8.
Caledon OPP reports an officer was on general patrol shortly after midnight in Bolton when he saw a grey Pontiac Montana van go through a stop sign on Allan Drive. He pulled the vehicle over, and as he approached it, he could smell alcohol inside and noticed the driver showed signs of impairment. He asked for a breath sample, but the driver refused to provide it.
She was arrested and charged with failing to provide a breath sample. Her licence was suspended on the spot, and the van was impounded for seven days.
