Students starting the new academic year at Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School this week might have noticed something different, like a new principal.
Tom Wisnicki has taken over the helm at the school in Caledon East.
He announced Friday that everything was coming together at the school for the start of the year.
“Everything’s in order, and we’re ready to go,” he declared.
He said this is his third posting as a principal. He spent five years at St. Marcellinus Secondary School in Mississauga, and prior to that, he was at Cardinal Leger Secondary School in Brampton for three-and-a-half years.
While he spent some time working for the public school board in Halton Region, he said he’s been with the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board a long time; “longer than I’m going to admit in public,” he said with a chuckle.
During his time in the classroom, Wisnicki specialized in business education, including economics, computers, accounting, marketing, etc. “The entire business curriculum, I think I’ve taught,” he commented.
Wisnicki added he’s liked what he’s experienced of Caledon so far.
“People here are very warm, ver welcoming,” he said.
He added he met Grade 9 students at orientation sessions last week, along with a number of the more senior students who were helping out.
“These kids are very proud of the school and very enthusiastic, so that was great to see,” he said.
