Three-way tie after Nov. 27 action

A three-way logjam for first place in the Caledon Senior Hockey League was the result of last Monday’s action at Don Sheardown Memorial Arena.
Yale Industrial Trucks grabbed a share of top spot after a 6-6 tie with Fines Ford Lincoln. Rutherford Global Logistics took its piece of first place from Heart Lake Insurance with a 5-2 win, although Heart Lake remains tied for the lead as well. In the other game, the Grit Bagmen bombed Jiffy Lube Oilers 9-2.
Rutherford 5,
Heart Lake 2
Team rep Nick Taccogna, Bruno Fracassi and Jim Rogers were the top marksmen for Rutherford with a goal and an assist each. Peter Derooy and Jim Dunbar also scored. Ron Sampson set up two goals and Tony Calabro had one helper.
Tim Sinclair had a goal and an assist for Heart Lake. Jamie Hardman scored the other goal. Single assists went to team sponsor Chris Spilar, Paul Agius and Ian Kerr.
Fines Ford 6,
Yale 6
Mike Foley had the hot hand for Fines with three goals while Bret Smith added a goal and two assists.
Alex Dorosh and George Armstrong scored the other goals. Dave Armstrong and Jim Schaefer had two assists each. Singles went to Jeff Boyles, Dom D’Orazio and Bill Moyer.
Dan Tasson and Steve Smith powered the Yale attack. Tasson had two goals and two assists while Smith bagged a hat trick. Bernie Tisdale contributed a goal and an assist. Team rep James Heenan and Tony Dinis set up two goals each. Romas Krilivicus, Brian Samuel and Robert Masutti each had one assist.
Grit 9,
Jiffy Lube 2
Tony Curcio continued his hot streak with three goals and an assist to lead Grit to its second consecutive win.
Kyle Smith scored twice while Robert Ianno notched a goal and two assists. Mike Shore and Mike Gasparini both scored a goal and added an assist. Carlo Fantin scored the other goal. Team sponsor Greg Collins and John Pitsadiotis bagged three helpers each. Team rep David Shoalts and Jim Sabaziotis both had two assists. Randy Freitag had one assist.
Greg Frangakis led Jiffy Lube with a goal and an assist, while Rick Geiger scored the other goal. Pete McNamara and Steve Sanderson each had one assist.
