No, these members of Caledon OPP were not lying down on the job recently. They had been nominated by their fellows at Nottawasaga OPP to do 22 pushups in support of efforts to raise awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder among combat veterans, first responders, etc. Constable Stephanie Hammond said the number 22 is symbolic of the frequently repeated claim that 22 military veterans take their lives every day in the United States. “It’s a small gesture,” she said.
