Mayfield Secondary School
Hannah Drennan
This Grade 11 student is the vice on the school’s mixed curling team, which got off to an undefeated start to the season and is getting ready for ROPSSAA. She’s also been inspired by the success of the Canadian women in the Olympics. “It was great,” she said. “I was so excited.” The 16-year-old lives in Mono Mills with her parents Stefanie Kalan and Terry McPhee.
Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School
Meghan Ogram
This 14-year-old has been helping out the school’s varsity volleyball team as a setter. Away from school, she plays rep volleyball with ACTS Elites Volleyball Club in Orangeville. She also likes playing beach volleyball in the summer. The Grade 9 student lives in Caledon East with her parents Terry and Sheila Ogram.
St. Michael Catholic Secondary School
Daniel Falcone
This Grade 10 student has been the vice in the school’s mixed curling team, which is off to an undefeated start this season. He’s also a member of the school’s ski club. In the community, he plays in the house leagues of Caledon Minor Hockey and the Bolton Wanderers’ Soccer Club. The 15-year-old lives in Bolton with his parents Marg and Mike Falcone.
Humberview Secondary School
Emma Chan
This 15-year-old was a power on the junior girls’ volley ball team, which finished third in its division. She’s also hoping to make contributions in the spring as shortstop on the softball team. In the community, she plays with the Peel Selects Volley Ball Club in Brampton and softball with the Bramalea Slam. The Grade 10 student lives in Bolton with her parents William Chan and Wendy Jenkins.
