Subway Athletes of the Week — June 12, 2014

Mayfield Secondary School Gavin Stone The Grade 11 student has been making his contribution to the school’s rowing team, competing in skulls and as stroke in men’s quad skulls. In a recent regatta, he was third in singles and fourth in the quad. He was also a linebacker on this year’s senior football team and s a nordic skier. Away from school, he rows out of the Island Lake Rowing Club near Orangeville. The 17-year-old lives in Brampton with his parents Bill and Terri Stone.

Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School Christian Hauck This 17-year-old helped out a lot as a centre on the school’s varsity hockey team, which placed fourth at OFSSAA. In the community, he’s an active AAA baseball player in the Brampton Royals’ organization, playing pitcher and shortstop, and he also plays for the Caledon Golden Hawks. The Grade 11 student lives in Caledon village with his parents Monique Smith and Mark Hauck.

While in the community, she plays in the Bolton Wanderers Soccer Club. The 17-year-old lives in Bolton with her father Paul Bechard.

The squad compiled a 3-4 record, but he notched a one-hitter for the cause. Away from school, he used to play baseball in Richmond Hill and is a right winger in Bolton hockey. The Grade 12 student lives in Bolton with his parents Leon and Wendy Vainer.
