Seeking new members — Friends of library has new executive

June 13, 2014   ·   0 Comments

Friends of Caledon Public Library, a volunteer-based group which aims to support library services within town, recently welcomed the new 2014-2015 executive committee at their recent annual general meeting.
President Doug Maskell also announced open positions on the Friends’ Executive which include branch representatives at Belfountain and Margaret Dunn Valleywood.
The organization supports the library through various fundraising activities, including the annual Monster Book Sale, book dedications and plant sales. Members have the opportunity to plan and participate in these fundraisers. Meeting every third Tuesday of the month, the group is a place to meet new friends who also share an appreciation of literature and culture in the Caledon community.
New members are always welcome to volunteer and participate in upcoming events and initiatives. Those interested are welcome to pick up an application at any branch, visit the library website, attend the next meeting June 17 at the Caledon East branch at 7 p.m. or by emailing the Friends at FOCPL@rogers.com
