Would you have four hours per week to spend doing something very worthwhile?
Did you know that all of the goods for sale at the Reustore on Industrial Road have been donated by the community? Did you know that the majority of the sorting, pricing and displaying of these goods is done by volunteers? Did you know that all of the money raised at the Reustore goes right back into this community to fund many important programs?
The Reustore keeps thousands of pounds of furniture, books, housewares, electronic devices, even useable appliances out of landfill. The Reustore provides this community with a steady supply of reasonably priced goods with plenty of life left in them. Some customers drop by every day to see what new bargains are available for purchase. You never know what you will find on display next.
There are a small number of paid staff at the Reustore, but they cannot hope to keep up with the volume of donations without a strong group of volunteers. Right now, the volunteer numbers are low and inventory is piling up. No special skill is necessary for you to become a volunteer. All that you need is enthusiasm.
We need your help. Just four hours per week is all that we ask. So little time for you and such a big benefit to your community.
Give Brigitte Malo a call at Caledon Community Services at 905-584-2300, ext. 235 or email [email protected]. She will get you started.
I have been a volunteer cashier at the Reustore for 18 months. I heartily enjoy my time every Wednesday. I look forward to seeing you there.
Susan Richards,
Caledon
