McClure to seek third term on council

The race for seats on Caledon Town council has started.
Ward 2 area councillor Gord McClure has announced he was be seeking his third term on council in this fall’s municipal elections.
“It has been my honour and privileged to represent Ward 2 on Caledon council for the past eight years,” he said, adding his vision for the future of the area, centred largely in the north end of the former Township of Chinguacousy, is to plan for a community centre for the area, and possibly a hockey rink, to serve the SouthFields Village and Valleywood area.
“It is an exciting time in the area, with many new constituents moving into the area,” he added. “I would like the opportunity to represent (them) over the next four years.”
