Market relocated to increase community vitality

June 13, 2014   ·   0 Comments

The Bolton Farmers’ Market, formerly known as the Caledon Farmers’ Market, is moving to Mill Street, Bolton.
The market opens this Saturday (June 14) and will operate every Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., until October. The opening day party will include family activities and games, as well as live music, crafts and, of course, food.
A section of Mill Street will be closed to traffic between Queen and Chapel Streets every Saturday until Oct. 11.
“This relocation allows us to work with downtown businesses and the Bolton Business Improvement Area (BIA) to build a stronger business area, while fostering greater community engagement,” said Market Manager Jith Dravin.
Dravin and his team have worked to secure some of the best local farmers and vendors, guaranteed to give the community an assortment of fresh and local food and crafts.
“Bolton Farmers’ Market is where the choices you make decide the outcome of your well-being with food that is fresh, home-grown and nutritious,” he said.
