Man faces several charges

A Caledon OPP officer noticed a fast car on Castlederg Sideroad June 21.
The result is a 23-year-old Caledon man is facing several charges.
Police said the officer was patrolling in the area at around 3:30 a.m. and noticed the westbound BMW travelling at high speed, and then make an abrupt turn onto Airport Road. The car was also being driven erratically, swerving in the lane and still going at high speed, so the officer pulled it over at the intersection of Old Church Road.
Upon speaking with the driver, the officer detected a strong indication of alcohol on his breath.
The man was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
