Kleinburg Binder Twine Festival goes Saturday

Join the residents of Kleinburg and surrounding areas for the 47th annual Binder Twine Festival this coming Saturday (Sept. 7).
It will be a day of good food, unique crafts, great entertainment and the opportunity to win the annual festival raffle — the prize being a queen-size blue and green garden themed sampler quilt. Partake in traditional old-tyme activities, watch the festival parade, play in the children’s area and enjoy the famous queen contest.
The event will on Islington Avenue in Kleinburg from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and teenagers and $3 for children aged two to 12 years old.
However, if you come dressed in pioneer costume in keeping with the spirit of the festival, admission is free.
Parking facilities available. Activities are wheelchair accessible.
For health and security reasons, no pets are admitted.
