Kids take part in third annual Shop With A Cop

January 14, 2015   ·   0 Comments

The Wal-Mart at Mayfield and Bramalea Roads was a busy place the Saturday before Christmas as officers from Caledon OPP were joined by chosen Caledon students to take part in the third annual Shop with a Cop event. The students had the opportunity to spend time with an officer, shopping for Christmas gifts for their families, using gift crads donated by local businesses and schools. “Without the generosity of the Caledon community we wouldn’t be able to continue with this fantastic program,” commented Constable Christina Sanghera, chairperson of Shop with a Cop. “During a fundraising drive at Zehrs’ Bolton with the assistance of the manager Marco Cesarone, we raised over $2040 to assist in our cause.  “This is a very special event for our officers and civilian members and truly makes our Christmas season special.” Constable Sarah Crowhurst was touring the store isles with Rihanna Lopez, 8, while Constable Ryan Myette looked 52-wall 2 - 5.5ver merchandise with Jayden Tricocu, 4.
