INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY PROCLAIMED

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY PROCLAIMED This coming Saturday (March 8) is International Women’s Day. Mayor Marolyn Morrison signed the proclamation at Tuesday’s Town council meeting, marking the day as “the global date connecting all women around the world and inspiring them to achieve their full potential.” Morrison was joined by Shelly Sargent and Adriana Roche of the Women’s Day Committee at Family Transition Place for the proclamation. Councillors Gord McClure, Doug Beffort, Richard Paterak, Rob Mezzapelli, Allan Thompson, Richard Whitehead, Patti Foley and Nick deBoer were on hand too. Photo by Bill Rea
