A 19-year-old Milton man is facing charges after a traffic collision early in the morning of Aug. 4.
Caledon OPP reports they were called out to a location of Olde Base Line Road, east of Torbram Road at about 3:30 a.m. to investigate a collision. They found a grey Volkswagen Jetta on the south side of the road, facing east, with wire fencing attached to the bumper. They also saw a man get out from the driver’s side and run south. The officers ran after him, until he complied with their calls to stop. The officers also determined the man was impaired with alcohol.
He was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system. His licence was suspended on the spot and his car was impounded for seven days.
