Holland Marsh Soupfest is back

What is better for one of these unusually cooler, unseasonable days of early fall than a piping-hot bowl of soup — or better yet, seven samples of various soups, made from locally grown, locally harvested fresh produce?
The Holland Marsh Soupfest is back. It’s a partnership between King Township, Bradford-West Gwillimbury and the Holland Marsh Growers’ Association. With the cloudy skies, breezy days and much cooler nights, no other event highlights local food and its importance than Soupfest.
This year, it is taking place Oct. 4  at Ansnorveldt Park on Dufferin Street (north of Highway 9), right in the marsh. It runs from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
More than 30 chefs will have their wares ready and prepared for a public that wants a taste of locally grown freshness in piping hot servings. For a quick taste of the Holland Marsh Soupfest prior to the actual date, check out https://vimeo.com/71869053
Come into the Holland Marsh, see the most productive lands in all of Canada, take a short walk to the vendors market (including fresh, locally grown Holland Marsh products) and then step into a soup sampling heaven.
