The former fast food establishment on Airport Road in Caledon burned to the ground Tuesday morning. Deputy Fire Chief Darryl Bailey said the fire was reported at about 11:15 a.m., and by the time the first crews arrived in the scene, “it was a well-involved building.” He said there was no word as to the cause of the fire in the building, which he said had been vacant for several years. It’s still under investigation, but added Tuesday night it was not suspicious at that time. Crews from Mono Mills, Caledon village and Caledon East responded, and Bailey said they did a great job of making sure it didn’t spread, considering the heat that day. It took about 20 minutes to bring the fire under control. There were no injuries. He added the value of the loss was not determined.
