Fatal accident early last Thursday on Mayfield Road

A 42-year-old Caledon man lost his life last Thursday after a head-on crash on Mayfield Road.
Caledon OPP reports they were called to the scene, between Coleraine Drive and Humber Station Road at around 1:20 a.m.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a grey 2009 Toyota Highlander was travelling westbound on Mayfield when it crossed the centre line for an unknown reason and collided with a transport truck travelling.
Leo P. Abraham was the only occupant of the Toyota, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for several hours while Technical Collision Investigators assisted at the scene.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
