DQ Athletes of the Week — June 30, 2016

Mayfield Secondary School Bryn Ferris Mayfield’s Female Athlete of the Year has been busy. The Grade 12 student was quarterback on the varsity flag football team, centre on the varsity hockey team and played mid field on the varsity soccer team. In the community, she plays rep hockey in the Orangeville Tigers organization and rep soccer for HEADS Soccer in Erin. The 18-year-old lives in the Belfountain area.

The Grade 12 student was quarterback on the varsity flag football team, centre on the varsity hockey team and played mid field on the varsity soccer team. In the community, she plays rep hockey in the Orangeville Tigers organization and rep soccer for HEADS Soccer in Erin. The 18-year-old lives in the Belfountain area.

Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School Samantha Gaguana This 16-year-old played midfield for the junior girls’ soccer team which was victorious at ROPSSAA. She said this year’s team was more intense than the one last year. “Everyone just worked harder,” she observed. In the community, she plays with the Toronto Soccer Academy. The Grade 10 student lives in Mono.

This 16-year-old played midfield for the junior girls’ soccer team which was victorious at ROPSSAA. She said this year’s team was more intense than the one last year. “Everyone just worked harder,” she observed. In the community, she plays with the Toronto Soccer Academy. The Grade 10 student lives in Mono.

St. Michael Catholic Secondary School Stephanie Chiarotto This Grade 12 student played goal for the school’s varsity field lacrosse team. This was the first year the school had put up a team, and they took bronze in a tournament. She also played mixed doubles badminton for the school, and she made it to the top 50 per cent in golf at OFSAA. She was also active on the varsity field hockey team and swim team. Away from school, she plays with the Canadian Junior Golf Association. The 18-year-old lives in Bolton.

Humberview Secondary School Elizabeth Haarmann This 17-year-old pitched for the varsity softball team, and she played middle for the senior volleyball team, which made it to the semifinals at ROPSSAA. She was also a safety and kicker for the flag football team. In the community, she’s a rep goalie for the Vaughan Auzzari soccer club. The Grade 11 student lives in Caledon East.

Elizabeth Haarmann
This 17-year-old pitched for the varsity softball team, and she played middle for the senior volleyball team, which made it to the semifinals at ROPSSAA. She was also a safety and kicker for the flag football team. In the community, she’s a rep goalie for the Vaughan Auzzari soccer club. The Grade 11 student lives in Caledon East.
