Downey’s Farm and favourite fudge — Talk to deal with road to success

April 8, 2015   ·   0 Comments

The Caledon Small Business Enterprise Centre at Caledon Community Services (CCS) in the Royal Courtyards will host Darlene Downey of Downey’s Farm April 16.
She will be discussing the history and operation of Downey’s Farm on Heart Lake Road, including what has been attributed towards its success. Downey will also speak about how she branched out from the farm to create her own business, My Favourite Fudge.
Downey’s Farm has been in business in Caledon for 23 years. While it is well-known for its “pick your own” operation, other services include the award-winning farm market bakery, homemade fudge and preserves, a play area and wagon rides, as well as fresh produce.
My Favourite Fudge was founded in 2008. It’s where Downey makes her own fudge and distributes it wholesale across Ontario.
The talk will run from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
To reserve a seat, phone Maureen at 905-584-2300 at ext. 216 or email sbec@ccs4u.org
