Peel Region Chair Emil Kolb interrupted last Thursday’s council meeting to announced he was incorporating “stretch breaks” into the routine sessions. The very first one took place about an hour into last week’s meeting, with all councillors, staff and members of the audience joining in. He said he was suggesting the breaks as a way to compensate for the potential health risks from prolonged sitting.
