Come celebrate Year of the Horse at Caledon Fair

June 5, 2014   ·   0 Comments

There promises to be something for everyone at Caledon Fair, which goes this weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
There will be many competitions, midway rides, a Giant Truck and Tractor Pull, Lawn Tractor Challenge and Heavy Horse Pull at one of Ontario’s oldest agricultural fairs.
This year’s equine buffs can watch the ponies perform at the Welsh and Sport Pony Star Search, can enjoy the difference that gaited horses offer, thrill to the Hunt Club Challenge or marvel at the high-stakes Jumper Challenge. The carriage driving show is a familiar favourite.
Daily magic shows, a petting zoo and pony rides will keep the small-fry happy, while Elvis impersonator Glen Aitchesen, Julien Kellen, the Muir Family and Saturday’s live music lineup entertain the adults while they enjoy the country barbecue dinner. Bands will include Kicking Country, Steppingstone and Rusty Wheel. Even the family pet is welcome at this year’s Fair with Sunday’s Caledon’s Pet Show. The crowd engaging K9 Agility Dogs, cattle and 4-H shows will provide plenty to see for all the crowd.

The Caledon Fairgrounds are on Highway 10 in Caledon village, on the east side of the road, just south of Charleston Sideroad.
