Caledon’s food bank was busy with helping hands last Saturday.
On December 7, Caledon Community Services (CCS) held the “Family Day of Giving” at The Exchange in Bolton.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Caledon families stopped by to help sort food donations and cook meals for those in need.
CCS Chief Development Officer Mariia Kupriianova said it was amazing to see The Exchange full of families helping out.
Volunteers enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies as they worked.
CCS is in the midst of its annual Season of Hope fundraising campaign, which helps provide critical food and utility support for neighbours in need.
CCS welcomes donations to the campaign in person at 55 Healey Road (Unit 10), by phone (905-584-2300), and online at ccs4u.org.
Mars Canada has pledged to match community donations to Season of Hope up to $25,000.
