Come join The Blackhorse Village Players as they journey back in time with their latest comedy, Hilda’s Yard, by Norm Foster.
In the days when owning a colour TV was a luxury, and the ‘40s Big Bands were being over shadowed by a new sound called rock ‘n’ roll, meet one ordinary family, one extraordinary day.
Set in 1956, Sam and Hilda Fluck are finally enjoying life on their own after their children Gary and Janey leave the nest.
Then, on a beautiful September morning, their golden world turns chaotic when Gary loses his job and Janey leaves her husband, and both are suddenly back home for an unexpected stay.
A heart-warming, nostalgic comedy with a hilarious look back at simpler time. Or was it?.
Hilda’s Yard features the talents of Jane Bolton (Hockley), Vincent Ursini (Caledon), Victoria Tokarski (Innisfil), Julian Bachlow (Tottenham), Mary Graham (Barrie) and Mark Hayward (Schomberg); directed by Margaret Phillips (Tottenham). Show dates include June 4, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20 and 21. To reserve seats, call the box office at 905-880-5002.
