Bikers get thanks

June 4, 2014   ·   0 Comments

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation to a group of bikers.
That’s right. It’s time to thank our local motorcycle club, the Hurt’N Old Guys.
Many people see these guys on bikes in leather and are not sure what to make of them. I am writing to tell you how truly awesome these guys are.
Since 2008, the HOGs, as we know them, have come together and united as a community to enjoy their ultimate passion while supporting the youth of tomorrow within Caledon. Every week, all summer long, they host a free community event right in the heart of Bolton. Every Wednesday, they proudly display their bikes outside St. Louis Bar and Grill and host an evening full of music, raffle, prizes and best of all, sweet rides!
With the help of sponsors, donors and our wonderful community goers, they have raised thousands of dollars for Kidz in Caledon. The proceeds from the past six years have been donated to support the youth of Caledon, helping build our future one step at a time; from food support, to medical, financial and emergency expenses, to supervised care during the summer. With the combination of a fueled passion to help and a fueled passion for bikes, hope for youth in Caledon is the real result of ‘bike night.’
Please show your support for these community builders. Come out to St. Louis Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. this summer and join the fun.
Fiona Coughlin,
Caledon Community Services,
Director of Fundraising and Communications
