Barefoot in the Park coming to Tipling

October 14, 2016   ·   0 Comments

A newlywed is going Barefoot in the Park in Shelburne to prove himself to his bride.
Paul and Corie are the newlyweds — Corie is an impulsive, enthusiastic romantic, while her husband is a stuffed shirt attorney more involved in his legal career than in building a love nest amid the lack of heat, leaking skylight and malfunctioning toilet in a tiny fifth-floor walk-up apartment in a Manhattan brownstone. Then, everything that can go wrong does when Corie tricks her mother into a blind date with their eccentric neighbor, Victor Velasco. Paul berates her for her lack of judgment and she criticizes his sense of romance and adventure. Tempers flare and divorce is on the horizon until Paul gets uncharacteristically drunk and walks barefoot in park to win back his bride.
Barefoot in the Park opens at Grace Tipling Hall Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. Other performances are Oct. 15 at 8 p.m, Oct. 16 at 2 p.m. and Oct. 21 and 22 at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $15, available from Caravaggio IDA, Holmes Appliances and Music Shop and Shelburne Town Hall and can be purchased online at www.tiplingstagecompany.com
