Century Theatre Guild will be holding auditions Dec. 12, 10 a.m., for the spring comedy, The Second Time Around, by Henry Denker.
The play centres around two retired people who fall in love and want to be together. The problem is with their neurotic and eccentric children and grandchildren who have their own ideas about how the older generation should behave. Fortunately, the older generation have a few cunning tricks up their sleeve.
The play calls for four couples, of three generations, the older couple older than 65, two couples in the 35 to 50 range, and the grandchildren who are about 18.
“This will be a good opportunity for high school students who can pass as first year college students,” commented director Jo Phenix. “The young people’s roles are interesting, but quite small, so would not interfere too much with school work.”
Rehearsals will start in late March, with show dates May 27 to June 5. More details can be found at www.centurychurchtheatre.com by following the link to Auditions. Rehearsal sides (scripts) are available by contacting jophenix@sympatico.ca
