Women must watch their purses

It’s often said that thieves look for opportunities, and a Caledon East area woman learned that the hard way Tuesday.
Aldonna Barry said she was shopping in a Bolton store, and she noticed her wallet had been removed from her purse when she went to pay for her purchases.
“I am just so incensed and so upset,” she remarked shortly after.
She said her purse was in the top part of the shopping cart at about 11 a.m., when there were just a couple of other people in the store.
She added it was the manager of the store who alerted Caledon OPP.
There is a happy ending to this, however.
Barry reported the purse was found by a man near the store and returned to her, just about in tact. The small amount of money she kept for an emergency was gone, but everything else was there, including some personal items like a picture of her late father.
“I’m ever so grateful,” she said. “To me, he’s a hero because he did the right thing.”
