Wiring worth $7,000 taken from crane

Caledon OPP report that on Friday, August 9, officers were called to investigate a break and enter which occurred at a Bolton business.  Investigation revealed that accused’s had entered the property and caused damage to a crane upon removal of wiring. The damage to the crane is estimated at over $7,000. The wiring from the crane was then concealed under a sheet of plywood at the rear of the property. Shortly after midnight on Aug. 11, OPP officers located the suspect vehicle at the property. Members from the Street Crime Unit stopped the motor vehicle and located a large amount of wiring.
As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old man and 34-year-old woman from Orangeville were arrested and charged with Theft Under $5,000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Mischief Over $5,000.
The accused male was held in custody and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on Aug. 11 and the accused female was released to appear in court on Sept. 26.
