The community is invited to an open house for the Town of Caledon’s Whitebelt Visioning Exercise April 20.
The Whitebelt is the area outside the Greenbelt and existing settlement areas in south Caledon.
The exercise will help generate a vision for future land use and infrastructure planning, and for the protection of strategic employment land as directed by provincial policies.
This will be the third in a series of open houses for this project. Options regarding the location of strategic employment lands will be presented.
The session will begin at 6:30 p.m. with one-on-one discussions with Town staff and consultants. At 7, there will be a formal presentation and question and answer period.
The open house will be at Caledon Community Complex on Old Church Road in Caledon East.
Councillor Rob Mezzapelli brought the matter up at Tuesday’s Town council meeting, urging residents to attend the session.
“This is an incredibly important study the Town is doing.” he declared.
