Vibrant textures, rich hues and colourful statements make up a treasure trove of artful gifts is just waiting to be discovered at the Alton Mill Arts Centre.
Artists and artisans of the upper floor have been busy transforming Studio 207 into The Little Art Shoppe, where visitors can spend a leisurely day exploring studios and galleries for gifts created locally? They can choose from a wide variety of functional pottery, elegant glass, paintings, photography, wood, encaustic, radiant mandalas, lively floral arrangements and beautiful fibre art.
Dare to have a fully experiential shopping encounter. The studio artists invite everyone to touch and explore the edges, textures and surfaces of a multitude of exceptional and unique art pieces, all priced affordably within the $10 to $200 range. There is something to suit every gift budget from stocking stuffers to distinctive “it’s-the-only-one-of-its-kind” items.
The Little Art Shoppe will be open funtil Dec. 22 during regular hours, Wednesdays through Sundays. The Shoppe will be open Dec. 23 and Christmas Eve for short periods for those last minute “gotta have it” purchases.
The festive season at the Alton Mill has officially kickedoff . Enjoy holiday goodies and savour the scent of hot apple cider while indulging in inspiring conversations with the resident artists.
