Natalie Vink of Wrightway Farms on Innis Lake Road, is Peel-Dufferin’s new Queen of the Furrow. She was crowned last Thursday at the Peel-Dufferin Plowmen’s Association’s 90th annual Plowing Match, held at the Metcalfe Family Farm on Kennedy Road. She was demonstrating her plowing skill, under the eye of Association President Harry Brander.
There was a large crowd of competitors and spectators out for the various events. The plowing match included the Mayor’s Invitational, and this year, it was host mayor Allan Thompson who won.
