A black 2018 Audi S4 that had been reported stolen was recovered July 15 in Caledon.
Caledon OPP reports they were notified shortly after 2 p.m. that the stolen vehicle had seemed to have entered the Caledon area. They added the driver, in an attempt to get away from police, went into a ditch on Escarpment Sideroad, west of Kennedy Road, and became immobile Subsequently, an officer was able to arrest the driver without incident. The stolen vehicle and licence plates attached to it were recovered.
As a result, a 44-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, theft over $5,000 of a motor vehicle, theft under $5,000, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, obstructing a peace officer, possession of break-in instruments, and taking flight while being pursued by a peace officer.
