A 26-year-old man from Brampton is facing several charges after a single-vehicle collision Aug. 29.
Police said the incident took place on Airport Road, north of King Street, at about 4:30 a.m. Officers found a white Chevrolet Cruze in a ditch. They spoke to the driver and immediately detected the smell of alcohol on his breath.
He was charged with driving while impaired, driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, being an adult driver with a blood-alcohol content of more than zero and taking a motor vehicle without consent.
His licence was suspended for 90 days on the spot and the car was impounded for seven days.
