As this coming Monday (Jan. 16) is a holiday, several Peel Region facilities will be closed for Family Day, including Regional offices and non-emergency services.
Other Regional offices and services that will be closed and reopening Tuesday will include Access Peel; Assessment: Peel Access to Housing and Children’s Services; Brampton Breastfeeding Clinic; Children’s Services Operations; Community Recycling Centres (CRC); Dental Services at Peel Public Health Clinics; Employment Resource Centres; Healthy Sexuality Clinics; Human Services Reception; Ontario Works in Peel; Peel Living; Public Works Reception; Peel Public Health Clinic — Meadowvale; and Rent Supplement.
For emergencies related to food, shelter, medication and personal supports, call the Ontario Works after-hours line at 905-793-9200 or the Region’s main line at 905-791-7800.
TransHelp service hours Monday will be from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. the following morning. Service will be provided by taxi vendors, but not available by bus. The Accessible Transportation offices will be closed; regular office hours and bus service will resume Feb. 17. Contact TransHelp at 905-791-1015 for any questions.
