New moms in Peel Region now have more options for breastfeeding help.
Peel Public Health has begun offering drop-in breastfeeding clinics and extended hours at two of its clinic sites.
These new clinic options aim to better meet the needs of new moms in the first four weeks following birth by providing them with more opportunities to access breastfeeding help. Mothers with babies (birth to six weeks) can see public health nurses at the clinics for help with breastfeeding by either appointment or drop-in.
The drop-in clinic is available at Brampton Breastfeeding Clinic at Bramalea Civic Centre (150 Central Park Dr.) Thursdays from 1 to 4:45 p.m. There is also a Meadowvale Breastfeeding Clinic at Meadowvale Town Centre (6975 Meadowvale Town Centre Cir.) in Mississauga Tuesdays from 1 to 4:45 p.m.
Appointments can also be made by calling the Region at 905-799-7700. For more information on breastfeeding supports offered by Peel Public Health, visit BreastfeedinginPeel.ca
